Online shopping trend is still very new to Pakistani's main reason is basically the trust issues. We are not quite confident when buying a product with fancy studio pictures and self-praising reviews. Secondly the retailers in Pakistan also have this bad habit of reducing cost by compromising the quality. So shopping in Pakistan is a very special art mastered by very few people. Its all bout bargaining and recognizing the good and bad part of any products.
Our markets are full of flesh eating vultures whose prey are the nice, decent and foolable people. In the past 2 year i have been "thuged" 5 out 8 times. Well to be honest no one is to blame here, its all due to this new democratic load shedding process that was elected by the people of Pakistan in the form of President Zardari. Business are down and people have less money to spend so obviously there are very few buyers, so sellers try to get most out what every customer to cover up their own expenses.
I've been doing online shopping for almost two years now and i am pretty much satisfied with it, its very easy and you get the best rates, plus there is a free home delivery if your in any big cities in Pakistan.
Here is the list of most trusted retailers if you want to do some Online Shopping in Pakistan.
I would recommend every one to buy computers, laptops or other electronic equipment online. First of all you get more options than in any real time store secondly you get all the time to do your research before buying. You should compare prices from different Online stores and buy from the one with best prices.
Best Online Computer and Electronics stores in Pakistan:
1. Galaxy
If your looking for new or refurbished computers or laptops then Galaxy is by far the best place online. They have number of centers in all major cities and they've been around for while. They offer the best prices and are very reliable. Although their website is one of the worst i have seen in long time but still they are worth it. The coolest thing about them is their sms service, you can ask them price quote for any thing via sms and they would reply within minuets. I bought a laptop from glaxy and was able to save 2500 Rs so yes its worth it.
2. Beliscity
Beliscity has a very professional website in fact its better than any other online shopping store in Pakistan. They offer a number payment options, they have a huge variety of products from mobile phones to mango crates. Beliscity has a good customer service and are very reliable.
3. Shophive
Shophive is a new comer but the way they have managed every thing is just outstanding, their pages are currently on number one spot in Google search which means that Google thinks that they are better than others. They also offer different payment methods but wait there is some thing better, Shophive offers a payment on delivery program which very attractive. All you have to do is select a product and place an order.
4.Myshop
Again a very professional website with wide range of computers and laptops. Myshop also offers the online payment method also known as e cart. They have their own blog and some really interesting articles. So another great place to shop online in Pakistan.
5.Makarts
Makart used to be one of my favorite site but some gave them the wrong idea of changing their website looks. They changed their template to a black header which is just ugly and it took them a long time to bounce back into the game. But yes they are back and like the makart i know they have almost every computer, laptop and electronic gadget listed on their website.

Time to upgrade my list of best online shopping sites in Pakistan. Here is a new contender in market and they are providing cash on delivery option any where in Pakistan. Which means no more credit card required just go online and order. Your order will be delivered to your door step. This facility brings symbios.pk to top of my list. Bad thing that i noticed was that some of categories have no product listed in them.
This another professionally designed site that also gives you the option of shopping on ebay and amazon from Pakistan. I really liked the quick drop down menus but the 2 contact numbers for more than 5 locations all over Pakistan makes is a bit unreliable. I have said this many times before. Get a UAN or landline number dont go sharing your mobile phone. Giving mobile phone contact number is not only unreliable it make your site look fishy and fake. Best thing would be to higher a 24/7 live support.

A Card That Works Online.
If your going to shop online then you need a credit card or a debit card. Many banks in Pakistan are offering Visa cards but their visa card don't work online. So here is my choice of Visa card which is affordable and easily getable.
Say Hello to UBL Wiz card, minimum amount required to get this card is 500 Rs, its a visa debit card and works online. Get the "Wizz Travel" card its the best one and costs the same. Processing time for a UBL visa card is like 5 to 10 days but the delays are due to NADRA verification. Once its done then there is no stopping just have fun shopping.
Online Shopping in Pakistan Through Websites Like OLX
While searching for different products on different search engines like Google you would come across website like Olx.com.pk. There is a category of sites that offer free enlisting of your business. You can sign up there and make you own business pages. Problem with these sites is that as its free so there are too many fake business registered here so you should only get info and address out of these sites do not pay online or do deal on phones.
Dealer or vendors on these sites are not verified and these sites wont be held responsible for any fraud.
Online Shopping in Pakistan Through B2B sties.
B2b stands for business to business these include sites like Tradekey, Ebay, Dghate etc...
On a B2B site look for only verified member or gold members. Even if marked verified these sites do not take responsibilities for fraud by their members. However B2b sites are great resource to reach to great retailers and get mega discounts.

SYMBIOS.PK is fraud company they are complete fraud and scam.please friend be-aware purchasing anything from them. Ali tahir you are absolutely right. SYMBIOS is a real fraud. I ordered a cell phone and they send me used phone. Cell phone dint worked at all. i called them in just 2 hours and they told me to send it back i neva heard from them after it. i called them so many times, but no response. their customer service is bad. SYMBIOS IS A REAL FRAUD PLEASE PEOPLE BE AWARE. IF THEY WILL SEND YOU A DEFECTIVE PIECE THEN THEY WILL NOT SEND YOU AGAIN A NEW ONE AND YOU WILL WASTE ALL YOUR MONEY. I WASTE MY 5000. i can also provide the tcs slip for that purchase and packet of symbios for prrof. Please dont buy anything from them, you will loose your money.

UBL Wiz is quite helpful but i have discovered some flaws. Maximum time for each online payment session is 24 hours, after that you have to reactivate it and each time they charge 100rs .
Wiz card is good for spot payments but bad for bookings and other contract payments.
I do recommend that you should get a proper credit card from Alflah bank or Standard Charter bank.
I think the list is just great.

Well Dr. Saab i can really understand what you said in your 1st post. I've kind a similar experience with this fraudulent website homeshopping.pk and shayyan tahir its admin. My online buying experience started from vmart.pk in 2009. i researched about the website and contacted them, asked about the procedure & when i was sure about their validity i sent them the money and i really liked their customer services. Whenever i placed orders the admin contacted me through e-mail and phone call to confirm the order and gave me money transfer details and everything worked fine and i always received the products in time. Recently i was looking for Android tablet and came across their website & facebook account. I noticed their quick responses in facebook and reviews on their website and the prices were also quite reasonable. As i already had a very good online buying experience with vmart.pk so i was completely unaware that they gonna give a very tough time. Well i simply registered to the website placed the order on (2nd June 2011) for 32 GB Asus Eeepad Transformer which cost me R.s 59,999. i received the confirmation e-mail and a call from customer services. They told me that they will order it from ebay and it would take about a week and in about 12/15 days they will send it to me & asked me to deposit the 10% advance as it was my first order from this website. As told earlier i had a very good experience with online orders in the past i simply transfered the amount of Rs. 10,000 in the following account

and they confirmed it in next two days through e-mail and after a week on 10th June i received a call from their office that my product has been received by their Karachi franchise from their international office and I'll receive it on Saturday but unfortunately i did not. On June 12th i gave them another call to ask for the product delivery & they started making excuses this and that. They started ignoring my phone calls and put my e-mail on filter so whenever i send them an e-mail it simply bounce back & never get through. This made me really worried about my money which i already payed but i still waited. on 14th June i received another call from the admin asking me to deposit the remaining amount of R.s 50,000 in the following bank account

so that they could send the product and they guaranteed that i will get it the same day because the product is already sent and is in a courier office where i live and i was really surprised why were they doing this to me as i already had payed them 10,000 in advance.
I was completely unaware because they never made me realize from their discussion that they are actually trapping me. So i simply sent the remaining amount of R.s 50,000. People who place orders Online know how impatient they are when they pay the money and they want their products as soon as possible so i was impatient to receive my product as well so i waited the next day but did not. For the next 7 days I've been calling them.. their courier services and they kept telling me that the product is on its way. i was confused and disappointed with my decision to order the products from homeshopping.pk and paying them advance. Now on 22nd i called my local courier office and they said they have received my product and on my way to the given address. I was not present there so i called up my brother to receive the product and he received it. When i came back it saw that the box was packed inside courier's packing and inside that the box of the product was opened from left side. and the rapping tape on the bottom was completely removed and when i saw the tablet i was shocked to completely torn apart to see it was a 16 GB tablet and it was used. Now if you buy any product come from ebay.com, amazon.com or bestbuy.com . It comes in a new box and the box is sealed stating don't accept the product if unsealed. Secondly the operation system installed on this android should have been 3.0 instead of 3.1 which was updated by the previous user or the homeshopping.pk themselves and they have been using this product from about 2/3 months. I was shocked and in completely disappointed as they trapped me and did a fraud with me. i called them up and and told the guy about all this and he started excusing i told them i will not tolerate such a fraudulent deal in any case and he said its impossible and started making excuses and said they will resolve so this gave me little home. Now when i made them another call the same day... they started ignoring my phone calls.. they put it on hold or it appeared to be busy. and for the next 1/2 hours i kept making calls as i was extremely extremely worried about my money. So i contacted my brother and before contacting Police we thought we should give them one more call and their luck they picked it up and this guy named shayyan picked up the phone and making excuses and said that my chosen tablet was not in stock so they sent the 16 Gb version and the rest of the money is still with us and they will return it or you can buy something else & when we asked why they sent the 2nd hand instead of newer version and see what he said.. he said sir " App ka kya khiyal hai hum baghair check kar kaey product recieve kartaey hein " what a stupid reason that s*nO*B8*** gave me. i asked him to send me the money or send me 32 GB mini SD card instead and he said he will & its been 3 days i've received no call from them and my email has been put on a filter and they are not receiving any phone call from my number anymore but I'm not going to let this guy go that easily. I've already talked to local police office and we are in a process to block their website as well as they are doing a fraudulent business and deceiving innocent people. Please all the people who read this post please please think 100 times before buying through online websites not just homeshopping.pk but from whereever you buy your first option should be local market its the best option you have and everything is available. Do NOT EVER buy anything from these PAKISTANI ONLINE STORES & please spread this message Plzzz.
